What car is it?

Apparently it belongs to a woman in her 90's and there is another old car (make unknown) in the garage, sadly they will probably both go to the scrappie soon

Owner of a small factory I worked at one summer vac had a Friary Estate version. Ungainly looking thing, but the fastest car I had driven up to then. He claimed it had a replacement/modified cylinder head and carburation setup - SUs I think. Would it have been Raymond Mays, or was his stuff for Ford? Certainly 'three on the tree', but did it have overdrive or is my memory playing me false?

Raymond Mays is more usually associated with the Ford but I vaguely remember conversions for the Vauxhall 6 pots. The Cresta being a top of the range Vauxhall it almost certainly have an overdrive as an option.
