Have these parts got a name? I`m wondering if they are something easily available or if they have be turned up specially. They fit on the end of a bolt and are used to apply pressure to something when the bolt is tightened.
I cant say i have ever seen these listed anywhere, I have heaps of catalogs here with these types of miscellaneous bits in. That doesn't mean they don't exist off the shelf. They could well exist but finding them might be another thing.
There are leveling feet available which is basically a stud with a pressed foot on the end that swivels so they sit flat at all times. It really depends on what these do and the purpose ( see below) Even with these leveling feet i have not seen any as in your picture. There is a high chance they have been made for the job. Made from alli and clear anodised by the looks of it from the pic.
As for a name hmmmmmmmmmmm i would guess they are for one for the following purposes: To spread load, or to stop marking of a bolt on a surface. If they are used in the vertical plane then they could just be like a leveler as above.
Sorry i cant be of any more help. I can only give the benefit of my knowledge, if you cant source these i do have the machinery in my works to produce such parts in the thousands or as small batch if its any use to you in the future.
a common application is the swivel foot on a G cramp jacking screw. I would imagine these are not commonly available as they are then pressed onto a ball so as to retain it.
Thanks for the replys folks, it`s from a brake stopper, bolts to the suspension tower and then uses a bolt with one of these on the end to apply pressure to the master cylinder, stops it moving because of bulkhead flex and gives a more positive feel.
I just wondered if they were meant for something else, mainly to save having to turn then up, I will be needing a fair few so would be a little bit of a tedious job manually.
How many will you be needing JayRS4? I do have 2 fully automatic lathes and one cnc turning centre plus manual machines in my works. Easy to do for that equipment as one offs, small batch or by the thousands. I work on very reasonable rates compared to the guys with big overheads.
If you have a sample or drawing and would like me to give you a price please feel free to contact me. Your not a million miles away from me either.
