They look very similar to what holds the front inner wings of my shogun to the outer, they are called "Scrivets" Mine are made from plastic.
If you type in scrivet in your web browser it should come up with a shop there somewhere that has a listing of all the different types. Hope this is of help?
Made enquiries with our usual suppliers. They can all get hold of them, but at a cost. Biggest problem is to get an M10 thread, the hole size through which the fixing passes needs to be bigger than the normal 14mm clearance hole- more like 16mm to get the female part to pass through...and its a bit late now.
So, back to the drawing board. Dont want to use short lengths of stud and dome nuts cos they are too bulky. Any other suggestions/ideas?
Bit late on this, but we call them sex screws too. We use them on captive rails or when sandwiching a substrate with 2 pieces of steel, such as a steel gate with timber boards. Only ever used M6 though and I had a box load given to me.
