what are these and how to remove? similar to circlip

doing the front bushing on a mini digger and there are a few of these clips like circlips but no holes.

seen them before on gear boxes look like this.

now you would think I am taking the **** but these are a nightmare to get back on maybe as they are a few inch in size and tight as a tight thing tbh.

there must be a tool for them or any idea on how to jimmy one up?

at present the screwdrivers are getting pretty close to stab wounds.

they're called snap rings and you'll need snap ring pliers to remove/fit.

Snap rings....

There is a tool for doing them, bit like circlip pliers, but with flat tips.
Coud probably adapt some old ones.... or make tips to fit if you have that type....

As been explained they look like circlip pliers but have a flat end as opposed to Pins

rioghto chaps figured it would be something not too bad will check the local places for them.

jimmied up a set of pliars these boyos are tight! and twist as well but that may of been the pliars.

ended up turning a cone on the lathe then setting it over the pin securing the whole lot to the end then working it down with 2 screwdrivers.
