This is a cover plate for 80x80 shs
Got one to see because I know what dc iron stuff can sometimes be like

Its 1mm thick! and even bent in the box ! Exactly what use is this for architectural ironwork? What the heck could the galvanisers do to that ? Let alone the welding and grind up issues

Shame because if it was 3mm or above it would make real nice newal and post base finishes

I've bought things in the past that are dissapointing when delivered so promptly get binned as well.

I think this might well be a buyer issue. Got to know at least a bit about a job to buy for it. Other than that it's all price and you get a load of useless stock.
I only bought one to see because I have been there before with them.

Had similar with post caps ordered some from metal place in UK they were useless tin pot things that you could flex off the posts. Took a punt and added some on an order from China they turned up inside ten days rock solid 3mm items for less than the uk ones!

A lot of folks say the Chinese are rubbish however it's actually our businesses and buying teams that are rubbish.
The Chinese quite correctly make what they are asked to.

I discovered by accident that Costco large-sized peanut tins are a perfect fit on round strainer posts....

At least you probably got it quickly from DC handrails. Bundles would have made you wait for unspecified age.
