Wet sand blasting attachments

Just wondering these wet sand blasting attachments you can buy, are they universal fitting?

I am guessing cheep pressure washers all use the same attachments and fitting, hope so as I need to get a new Lance for mine. If I buy a little kit be nice to know when mine packs in I can just get another cheep washer and use all the same attachments.

You can buy lance adaptors on ebay to fit different maker parts to almost any pressure washer but if it's the lance you need the threaded fitting for the hose at the washer is universal as far as I've seen.

The one I have has the kew bayonet fitting, I think it just goes on the end of the extensions. All the fittings on mine are threaded with brass bayonet bit's screwed to them, so if they are all like that you could just remove the bayonet and swap it...

Yes but do they work? Any experience using one would be interesting.

Well I got some quite crazy quotes local for blasting and other than that it was post bits off.

So I just ordered an attachment so I can do some wet blasting, if it works for one job it would work out 90% cheaper than someone local doing it, if it lasts for a few jobs then a BIG smile on my face.

A while back, someone asked me about getting the paint off a swimming pool. I suggested a wet blaster on his Karcher, with the proviso that I hadn't tried one. Bit later, I saw him again, and asked how it went. Great! was the comment, thanks for the idea.
Recently, I was asked about blasting (small) iron grills. Gave the same advice. On the basis that he would need a pressure washer on his house restauration, so the bit extra for the sand attachment was cheaper than a pro job. He talked to the Karcher guys in UK, and...., they said 'we don't actually sell many and they aren't that good'. ???
Anybody with hands on experience?

they work on the same principle as a compressed air suction gun only using water in stead . they will work ok but no where near as powerfull as a presurised pot . there better than nothing thats all i can say
