And I came away with this:
I sold my Cebora to make way for a modern welder and thought I'd send Jim a message letting him know I was in the market for a decent used or new machine. Turns out my timing was perfect and this machine had just become available from an upgrading customer so we did a deal and I made a 200 mile round trip to collect it.
I'd like to thank Jim (and his dad) for the time he spent going through just about every aspect of the machine's functions and for setting it up prior to me arriving so I could run some test welds and be completely at ease with the machine. He gave me some great pointers and excellent constructive criticism on my TIG technique (bearing in mind I'm still somewhat of a novice so there was plenty to comment on). I did some test welds and they were miles better than anything I managed to achieve on my transformer machine.
I'm very impressed, not only with the machine I bought but even more with the service I got from Jim and the rest of the shop team. It's hard to find service like this nowadays.
