I am looking at selling up after the ecconomic mess is over and moving to SW France.. big farm with lots of out buildings....
The kettle will always be on a 2 post ramp will be available provided people bring biscuits...
may even be some where to stay....

had a 996 carbon wheels the works..... It was a work of art, but it was going to kill me so slowed down... Had a TVR once too....
so 50-60cc Ducatis and Fiat 500s with 12bhp keeps me alive

and SW France not far from the Pyranees is the plan...

I don't know, but I can guess ;-) Using a pair of x8 bins at six miles, or so, away, you ain't going to see much, especially with the heat haze. Just about enough to see that it was pine trees I could see, and not a farmhouse.

Reminds me of my favourite piece of advice: "Don't waste money buying expensive binoculars, simply stand closer to the object you wish to view."

The brown and Cream is a Vial Verlicchi.... it is a cyclemotor... that used a Ducati bolt on Engine, it is teh frame design that convinced Ducati to make full bike rather than just engines....
there is one in the Duati museum but they want mine as it is original and unrestored....
The first bike that Ducati built used a Frame desiged by Caproni and was the Ducati 60 (he Red/grey one) but Caproni would not agree a deal with Ducati over the frames so it ceased production after a few months, to be redesigned and relaunched as the Ducati 65 (I don't have one of those atm!!)

Basically the Ducati Cucciolo engine was a simple bolt on to a pushbike frame, untill peopl;e started racing them and desiging frames with suspension..
the Velicchi is pedal start the 60 has an addon to the baically the same engine but wiith an extra gear and kick start....
While the UK produced 2 stroke engines with a friction roller that rubbed on the back tyre and a centrifugal clutch...
Ducati built a 2 speed preselector gearbox, propper plate clutch, 4 stroke overhead valve engine.... that drove the rear wheel through a special front sproket that could also allow it to be pedaled..

something that has been lost for years now is a Britax Huricane.... a purpose built 50cc Ducati racer.. I'd love to build a replica....
