I know but I wanted to share it anyway because it works really well, and secretly I was hoping for someone to post a link where me and W.olly could buy one cheap, maybe secondhand
I looked at these ages ago but wasnt sure as was told there not that accurate. maybe if fettles a bit or even made my own would be ok for 25mm size pipe.
At long last, had the roof sheets since December and now got hem fitted. Well chuffed now but for feeling rough as a bears back end.
Have to admit i cocked up with measurements as the sheets sat about 100mm short so had to pack out the wall plate by 50mm and the front gutter edge by 50mm to be bale to get the gutter in place.
Be reat though feel massive now, and when i remove the inner walls from when it was a 15 x 10 foot cony to the rest i cant wait.
I am one sheet short here aswell. I got these sheets at a good price from an over purchase on a project somebody did. I have no clue how somebody would over purchase 6 sheets of these at around £160 a sheet.
To make this gap up i mite make a GRP one from one of the sheets. I know i should of done that before i fitted them. Had to get them up before it chucks id down as tool are all over the place.
I have some galv sheets for the back of the house area.
Mite have a rest now as this has done me in lol. I have the week off to sort this out so no rush now. well not much as i sooo want it done now.
After four tip runs and a hour or so the cladding is now on. And happy with the results.
One thing though, well another thing is how folk just dont listen when you ask and give wrong info.
I ordered a length of 4x2 rough sawn and specificaly said not the C24 as its to small. What did they send bloody C24.
I also asked what coverage is the loglap cladding. 100mm, well its 85mm. So that made me short of it to finish the job now.
Same as when i ordered four bulk bags of the 40mm slate for the garden, they had no 20mm in so i said that will do. They said its the same cost and amount as in coverage etc. Got the bill an dit was near £20 a bag dearer.
Is it me as this happens a lot nowadays. folk dont seem to kno what the hell thye are doing.
Anyway moaning over as luvin it now.
My T is a bloody diamond, i was struggling to get the inner wall down so she came to help. not many a wife would so that i reckon.
I am off working tomoz for a few hours and collecting another bit of gear for the workshop so this will be as is for next few days. Next will be the new roof at the back of the house. Then concrete the floor that is a little low at the back and then rewire it all. And well plenty more.
Hey would you Adam n Eve it, the floor is level, big door fitted and filled in.
I got these jjust over 2msq UPVC doors at a good price i think, i was going to go with timber and loglap but these look better i reckon. These are new cancelled order doors so new,
I got some 3mm ally from work for nowt and cut to size and then painted with Hammered Hammerite. Trying to natch the front door of the house. I was goign to use a timber effect roller to get the sae, finish but being a tight git i didnt want to spend another tenner lol. Think i have spent enough on just refrubing this place.
Ont inside i will be adding 25mm timber batten around the edge to make up the 28mm standard DG thickness.
And flor leveled up, that near filled me, only about 15sqm but the state i am in it wasnt easy and i stood on the float and snapped it so had to wait a few hours for my mate to come to get his. He was meant to be helping me but had to work. Christ concrete is expensive aswell noways at £180 a cube. yes the edges are crap but i was struggling. wont see then anyway with the shelving and work benches there.
So next is to seal the old base as its dusty as hell. then paint that The new top concrete will have to wait untill it sets in a month or so before i can paint it.
And electrics to be done when i decide on LED lighting.
Feel better now got this far so i can crack on with the boat build
