welding with disabilities

I have a chronic pain condition which severely effects everything in my life, used to be very active within in the countryside which with mobility the way it is led to landrovers which obviously led me to welding lol is there anyone else on here with disabilities? if so what led you to welding and how has it affected the way you weld? i really struggle with positional welding due to pain so just curious to see how many others are in this boat

I'm the same however have given up on Land Rovers so that has eliminated 99% of welding in my life - seriously.
My problems are many fold (stroke, spine damage, twisted left leg, brain injury, and so on) but one of the worse that affect DIY is my right hand so intend adapting my welder to foot pedal operation as pressing the trigger of the MIG can be difficult. Bending down, twisting around and such I have to be careful but simply take my time and don't do anything unless I'm completely comfortable. In the past I could suffer a poor position for a few minutes but now that means more chance of messing up the job, hurting myself or not being able to do anything. It's a learning curve to work within your capabilities and adapt "workplace" as necessary. I use engine crane or electric winch for lifting as little strength in my arms, power tools where ever possible, plan well in advance every step of the job and basically not give up playing with my toys.

Hi I'm stuck in a wheelchair due to M.S so positioning is a problem, still a lot of swearing and a bit of patience I get there in the end. My welding is not as good as it used to be but my eyesight is a bit dodgy so I don't notice it lol, no I find I am getting good With my angle grinder so if not happy with weld try again. Trick is to look at it as a challenge but most importantly enjoy and have fun,
