Hello everyone, as a newbie to MIG welding I am hoping for some advice and guidance from some of the experts on here.
I have lots of experience of stick welding, but no actual hands-on experience of MIG, TIG , or gas welding.
I work for a large hotel in which a project is underway to clad the kitchen in 20 gauge stainless steel sheeting. Most of this will be straightforward fixing flat sheets to walls, but there will be some cutting and welding involved.
My question is, which welder should I buy for this one off project ? Ideally one without a permanently live feed, judging by the comments on another thread.
Also, is there any reason why I cannot use a hand-held mask while using a MIG welder ? I always used one while stick welding, I just didn't like using the flip down mask ...
Your comments and opinions will be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
