Welding On off magnets vs standard magnets

Just wondered what's people's opinions on the strong hand magnets worth it or better off buying a variety of small and heavy standard welding magnets?

I got standard ones and its a pita to clean the crap off of them I was thinking about getting an eltromag to clean them with

Put them in a plastic (carrier?) bag before use.
