Hi guys,
I'm replacing the sills on my MK3 golf, and I've got to the point now where I'm about to weld up the new sill.
I've cut away the old sill, and when looking up the rear quarter - I've found what I believe to be NVH foam (very dense black foam). The weld will be about 10mm underneath the bottom of this foam, but I'm just concerned about potential fires. Does anyone have any advice for this?
Cheers,
Oli.
