Evening guys and gals.
i need some advice about welding different thickness metals.
i found some wall brackets up the tip last week when i took some rubbish there and i intend to make a shelf
they are made out of metal about 3-4mm thick.
the only stuff ive got here to make the "shelf" part is about 2mm thick.
i dont know how to set the welder up for this.
do i set it up for the thick stuff and risk blowing holes in the thinner one or do i set it up for the thin stuff and risk not getting good penetration in the thick metal?
or is it as simple as finding somewhere in between?
cheers,
Neil.
