After a bit of research, I can confirm that bi-metallic corrosion and galvanic corrosion are one and the same thing. But obviously there are different ways it can occur

Same with glavanised steel on mild steel. We put up a unpainted structural steel frame to a building (Steel thick enough section to counteract corrosion over the design life of the building). It had galvanised composite floor sheets laid on the top. Job done, concreted etc and some clever **** started on about bimetalic corrosion. Everyone knew it was tosh but it snowballed out of control. It really cost to get a specialist to write a covering letter to basically tell him he was talking :full
