hello all.
I have a Clark welder that I use mainly to make gear for my banger racing cars. It has ways worked perfectly but recently I'm having a few problems with it.
I use the boc argon shield bottles from the volksworld offer they had, I'm not sure of the size but they sit about waist height. My first bottle lasted ages because I hardly used it for a couple of years but since I had a new one it welds fine at first but it starts welding like its run out very quickly.
I assumed the lad I shared a unit with has been using the bottle at first as he has turned out to be a thieving git but when I had that one replaced the latest one is doing it again. I don't do loads of welding and I'm sure it can't be gone already. I'm going to get a new regulator later as someone knocked my bottle over and damaged mine, the gauge is all squashed. It doesn't seem to be leaking and I always turn it off when I'm not using it.
I'm still learning, I've never really been trained, a guy I worked with showed me the basics and I taught myself from there. Has someone likely messed with the knob on the reg? Can anyone tell me what may be happening?
Thanks.
