When mig welding I have great difficulty in seeing the joint or weld, this with an automatic shield. I have also tried a fixed shade no9. still can not see.
What am I doing wrong??
Use a couple of chalke lines either side of where the weld needs to be, but yes second s410man's more light. Do a search for led lights in recent posts, lots of ideals.
And welcome to the forum Dolivant
Welcome to the forum, not being cheeky, but how's your eyesight? the distance you are focussing at to see the weld sometimes highlights the need for reading glasses!

I find if my garage strip lights are on when welding, then the light behind the mask filter adds to the problem. I tend to put my poise lamp on the job, and knock the garage lights off.
