Was out practicing with the welder yesterday and was really struggling to get a clean weld.
I set the flow rate to 10lpm while the trigger was pressed using a pea shooter.
I was doing it outside, but set up plenty of wind breaks to stop any drafts blowing the gas away.
After doing a few butt welds, the metal, clamps and earth lead clip were covered in a nice brown layer.
Knocked the gas up a bit and it still was covering the steel with a brown layer.
The gas coming out the torch is quite loud, so I am wondering if I have it set to high, even though the pea shooter's ball bearing was sat at 10lpm.
Any ideas?
