welding gas continues flowing out of torch

hi i wondering if someone could hep me the gas continues to come out of the torch when i stop welding the wire feeder is a lincoln 342.

Possibly a faulty gas solenoid valve?
had one fail on my Lincoln mig a long time ago while in the middle of a job, i light tap with a hammer freed the valve off after each time it stuck, better than emtying a bottle of gas.

thanks is there any way to fix the solenoid valve or do i have to buy a new one thanks shug.

If you are confident (understand the risks) to work inside a live welder check the voltage on the coil of the solenoid without the trigger pulled. If there is no voltage the problem is the valve itself, if there is still voltage, the problem is in the control circuitry.
