welding career advice needed!

Hello all,
I am seriously considering becoming a welder and wondering how to go about e.g. getting coded and how long it would take for the various skills/coding's? How long would it take to get each one? Can I do them in quick succession? I have already got C&G level 2 in both MIG and TIG and intend to do MMA next. Also, is there anywhere in the Teesside or Cheshire areas that would consider someone at my current level with a view to progression?
