a dustbin wagon pulled up outside our house . guy jumped out of the cab and walked round the wagon . the front tire blew up and took half the side out of the cab i heard the bang 3 miles away . wifey saw it happen good job the guy got clear

That was frightening, especially the bit about it could take 22 hours for the explosion to occur.

Same here, had to heat up all the nuts on an old Ivor Williams trailer I have to get them off, thats scared the life out of me. Another one who wont be doing that again.

Bloody scary stuff !! This would explain some of those truck tyre explosions that are seen on motorways.

A women was killed last year by a car tyre. Apparently they had a slow flat, that had been driven on for some time before deciding to change it, the boot was full so she, put it on her lap, while her bloke drove to get it repaired, ISTR they were off on holiday. Anyway the tyre exploded killing her in from of him. Tragic!!

I vaguely remember being told heating was bad practice, back when i did a tyre course to kill some time.

The Michelin video shows it a little better.
