Hi Guys
I am looking to replace the underground automation for my gates and need to grind the welds off the old metal boss and then weld a new boss as per picture. I have decided to attempt this myself as I have been continually let down by a number
of companies.
Would you say a Parweld 160 XTL Inverter would be sufficient to run a small bead around the diameter of the boss using Stifrod 6013. The gate is supported and hinged at the top and the boss predominately takes a torque load when the gates are open and closed.
The Parweld will be situated about 45 meters form the 16 amp socket supply and I intend on using a 2.5 cable extension to cover this distance.
I would say I have basic skills with MIG and Stick. Rgs. Steve
