Hi have a maypole 150 turbo mig was working fine then went to it saturday and fan works but no power to the trigger or wire feed anyone know how to test for faults and where the fuses are located cheers
Maypole are a wholesaler who sell a few lines of welding gear to car spares places. it will almost certainly be a rebadged machine made by someone like Telwin.
The circuits of these little MIG welders are fairly simple and you should be able to trace it out and go through it with a multimeter and find the fault.
With any luck it will be something simple and cheap, maybe a loose connection or bad switch. if the main transformer is dead, you've basically had it. There are a few threads on here about fixing MIG welders. Use the search function.
If you can't find the circuit diagram for the Maypole welder on the web, try to find the handbook for a similar welder by Sealey etc with a circuit diagram. Sometimes the owners booklet has a diagram and sometimes not. It will probably be close enough to guide you as to how the major parts are connected together.
