This is the only thing that I plug into it so I wouldnt know but it used to be OK running from the same socket.

The best way to describe the problem is its 'squirting' red hot wire not shorting it out.

Not a commercial thing to love & cherish but tells you the basics.
IF you are confidant with lecy could check 3 phase socket with ordinary Multi meter on 600v AC range, earth\ N, to any phase pin mains voltage or across 2 phases pins near enough double, a lot of 3 phase welders only use 2 phases
There may be a slight variation in voltages across the single phases measured to E\N but not a big one.
Have seen 100volt difference traced back to cooked isolator.
Do you have 4 or 5 pin socket has Neutral, 4 pin has NO neutral

Thanks for that, I have just had an electrician in this afternoon, nothing wrong with the power he tested everything. The problem is in the machine.

Wire glowing test and machine gun arcing sounds like a broken power cord in the torch or a break at the euro connector. When that happens the wire carries the welding current instead of the torch and it overheats the wire before it gets to the workpiece. Have you got another torch you can try before you spend any more money on 3rd party diagnosis.

The wire come out as if it is in limp mode aswel, no I have a new torch on order then I will try but thanks for the advise. Its very strange.

As I mentioned in post #28, these guys are not specialists in welder repair, but they used to design switch-mode power supplies - and that is what an inverter welder is. They offer "No Fix, No Fee":

Thanks for that, I phoned them but they no longer entertain welders, he said they used to.

I rung the welder repair shop that I took it first time round, they have apologised and told me to take it in again free of charge. He couldn't answer if it had been weld tested so he couldn't really refuse to.
