Hey guys, first post and asking for advice
After purchasing a hobby welder, as the Sip we have is a load of garbage. Judging by the information on here, the clarke brand is well thought of.
After a machine that can do gas mainly but with the option of gasless if conditions wont allow.
Looking at this http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/p.../path/dual-purpose-and-inno-gasin-mig-welders
What i would like to know is what is required to use gas with this? We have a regulator and some bottles knocking about, but will we need a new gun etc?
Also, on some of the machines, it only specifies 0.6 and 0.9 wire. Does this mean we are restricted to 0.6 mild steel and 0.9 flux, no 0.8 mild steel?
Cheers guys
