welder problems

I have been having a few problems with my Bmig 140 mig, I use the smallest 0.8mm 0.7 kg spools but it seems to be snagging. If I run the welder without the wire the feed is ok. any suggestions?

liner blocked? or a badly wound roll of wire?

have you tightened the spool up too much? (just do it tight enough that it stops as soon as you let go of the trigger) The liner might be knackered, or weld spatter obscuring the contact tip?

does the wire feed ok when you're not welding with it? did you manage to feed it through ok in the first place?
