hi there i have a mt181 (or porta mig ) same machine, and the transformer has burned out after under 1 year and is mainly used for body repairs and only a few times a month bought from migtigarc ,migtigarc have been fine they are registard repairers for the mta181 and other models ,migtigarc tested and removed the tranny and it was gone so they phoned up the manufactorer and they had to send it back to them they would not send out a new one!!! tommorow will be the third week the manufactorer has had my transformer im b**ody p**sed off as i need to repair customers vehicle for mots i would never ever buy anything from techarc or whatever they call them selves you can never get hold of them just answer machine and they dont call back i would advise anyone not to buy one from this company (techarc) great welder terible customer service!!! i had a issue with my seally gas torch a while ago and guess what had it back within 3 days if they can do it why cant techarc??
