Hi all, recommendations on a welder/ generator? Looking at the mosa magic 150. Are they any good? Also has anyone ever scratch tiged off them? (as it could be useful to have that in my locker for the trubore stainless stuff) Normally use a HF inverter but sometimes a transformer is miles away. Used to use an arcgen which was... ok but a pig to move around. Generally use Lincoln or esab inverters when I've got power.
My work mostly consists of pipe fabs but have to do the odd positional on site/ blow a socket in/ district heating pipe etc. generally with a celly root and rutile fill and cap. Rarely go above 140 amps unless I'm using 4mm iron powders on flanges. Most out of position work on site I use a 2.5 nu5 and a 2.5/ 3.2 rutile. Occasionally use some basic rods for structural but again, generally multi- run with 3.2. To this end something light portable and reliable but I don't need loads of power Any first hand experiences and recommendations would be appreciated. Many thanks.
