weld test help

Trying to pass weld test useing 1/16" flux core wire to weld T joint with 3/8" material can't get wire feed or heat just right yes I'm new at this I need this job.

We really need more info, wire brand, classification etc... to be of any help.

Try looking on the manufacturer's website and downloading the data sheet PDF, you should find all the relevent info there (optimum voltage, wire speed etc.)

Are you using a 220V mig right?. 1/16" wire is pretty big...Bob

Also Miller Electric's website. They have some welding calculators which I have found to be pretty good for initial set up.
