A website is being set-up about where I did my apprenticeship in what at the time was the largest bauxite mine in the world. It is in a very remote location on Cape York Peninsula in Oz, the town is called Weipa. It was considered the best apprenticeship training program in Queensland at the time and always felt very lucky to have had the opportunity. I did my time with fantastic folk who are friends for life and the best place I ever worked. It's worth a look to see how things were back then in a remote part of Oz: https://www.weipaapprenticeproject.org
