Bit of thread necrophilia, sorry about that but I have just had a quick look at buying some more weed killer. Clucking Bell nearly £70 for 5 litres, I paid £28 and I thought that was dear!!!

Things are really getting out of hand now.

The last 5l I bought was about £25/30. Should last me a while, don’t fancy paying £70

It's gone up a lot. We have a big problem with horses tails weeds in our lawn. Been using a concentrate that you dilute, called Neudorff Weedfree Plus. From Amazon, I think. Works very well on most weeds - within a couple of days you have a brown patch - much better than others we have tried. The horses tail weeds take a bit of persistent application as they are quite small but it's worked when other products didn't. Around £20 a litre but you do dilute it and it's lasted us 2 years.

I bought 5ltr of Gallup for £27 a few years ago to kill off knotweed over the bottom of our garden. Still got some to go at but it cleared it back about 20ft and the blackberries have taken up the space now.

give all the brambles and eldeberry trees a dose of sbk as well. its done the trick

That is not horrendous, on farm its similar money, and there are also supply problems.

Theres been issues with production at Monsanto and irrespective of brand Monsanto supply's all the "actives"....

I put £3K of Glyphosate through the sprayer in less than 3hrs the other day...... Mind you that was less painful than one Spring day when I put £20K of Ammonium Nitrate through it in six hrs.....

Just worked it out and I'd be similar cost the other night, probably don't want to see what some of the mixes were this spring.

The fertiliser spreader was over £50000 a day a couple of times.
