The old Waxoyl was great. I used it on a Simca 1100 in 1976 , a notorious ruster, and it just got exported, still rust free apparently. I could believe you if you said the new stuff doesn't work as they've ruined Hammerite paint. it doesn't cover and it certainly doesn't 'hammer' any more.

I use Hammerite waxoyl(cavity wax) a lot,mainly because when i tell customers the price of the better stuff,Dinitrol etc,waxy comes out tops
TBH though,its far better than nothing
