wavy disc??

what cause's fibre disc to go wavy ,is this cause by dampness.
some are flat for quite awhile till worn out others go wavy after a day or so.

Hi John, Are the metal support plates either side of the disc are running true?

Are they the ones that use a backing disc on the angle grinder. Mine develop a curl but they straighten out when they are clamped in and spinning up straightens them out some more.

Fibre discs will curl up when they get damp, keep a weight on top of them to keep them flat in storage if it bothers you, or keep them somewhere dry.

sorry should've said angle grinder.
no problem with storing them.
after being used of a couple of times they start to go wavy after a couple of days not being used.
most probably dampness will have cause it.
I had a feeling but just wanted to make sure.
with this cold weather I've had the heater so no doubt this will help as the room cools down when I shut shop.
