Wassit called - leccy thingy?

Hi guys, I've acquired a mulitplug for some 3 phase tools - save wrestling with plugs all the time.

I want to make some more, can anyone tell me the name of the little bus-bar type stackable connectors seen in the pic? They look like you can stick as many as you like in a row together, separated by earthing 'segments'.

I should earth the box too, right?

Hello Al,

the earth terminals automatically earth to the din rail as you screw them tight to the rail. You can see the clamp on the top terminal of the bottom block.

Not just terminals either. you can get switchgear that fits onto these rails also.

Most control cabinets use this method of fixing devices

You just have work out which type you have as not all makes are compatible

Yup, pretty most all MCBs are DIN rail mounted, so you can combine terminals and MCBs on your rail.

Most Terminal systems include the ability to parallel up terminals beside each other, useful for distribution, using links or copper strips.

Also, you can get double and triple stack terminals, if you need to save space.
