will a washing machine pump for a tig torch water cooler ive read threads never seen it use have old one going to try it tomorrow .what do you all think
from http://www.weldcraft.com/pdfs/WP20ENG.pdf which is fairly typical of other brands for example Binzel sayWater cooled torches require cooling water flow of 1 quart (.94 liter) to 1 1/2 quarts (1.4 liters) per minute at a maximum of 50 PSI pressure.
min 2.5bar, max 3.5 bar min flow rate 0.7l/min
you can use the antifreeze for solar heating - propylene glycolI thought about a ally tank but wondered if the antifreeze in the tig coolant would react with it as methanol and alloy dont mix and produce a white deposit which flakes and blocks things over time. You can buy dedicated alloy safe antifreeze for car engines (rover v8) so I guess you can buy a tig fluid with the same properties. Haven't looked into that side of it yet.
