Warco belt sander linisher

hi, has anybody got or used one of these:

I have experience of a small warko lathe at a place I used to work and in he 7years I was there I couldn't brake it.

i dont have one of those but i do have a warco zx 15 milling/drilling machine had it for a few years very good bit of kit and i have used a warco horzental band saw also very good and a warco drill press same again for the price worco are very good in my opinion

its half decent a cast bed and not a lot of money for its size id consider one if i hadnt made one

I don't think it can be bad £195 ink vat delivered to the door, think Ile have to rake sum pennies together.

My Draper one came the other day, just got it together with a 1500w motor it seems fine, you can really press on the full width of the belt without slowing it very much, I reckon much less power it would struggle.
The warco one has a 550w motor
In the next few days I will post regards how I get on with it.

Have to agree.One Horse power=0.746 KW.Even the Draper at 1500w is far from overpowered-if it slows down when you lean on it that is a sign.for reasonable performance at least 1/2 HP per inch of belt width.
The other critical factor is the speed of the belt-most sanders of this type are good for wood & slow on metal due to low belt speed.

When it's put like that it sounds very underpowered 3/4hp isn't alot and most of that will be lost in friction between the belt and table
