College where i work bought one, Needed stripping down & setting up from day one. Motor is not powerful enough to cut for more than a few minutes before it cuts out. Replacement motor supplied under warranty after i jumped up & down is no better. Basically they are not fit for purpose, save your money & buy a better one.

I have an Axminster one. Bought it thinking it might be a step up from the usual Clarke one as it has hydraulic down feed control, microswitch to turn it off at bottom of cut and swivel head for mitre cuts. The hydraulic down feed is a joke and has been removed and the microswitch broke. Both replaced under warranty but I don't bother with either of them. It's not bad accuracy wise and decent blades are a must. I use starret blades. Yesterday I was cutting up stock for several hours without any problems including 12 cuts through 100 x 4 box. When it goes pop I'll go for either a second hand industrial bandsaw or cold saw.

I have a old Warco version
It has gone a serious amount of graft
Had new guide bearings twice
Fill the worm drive casing with CV joint grease as the oil leaks out and the bronze gear wears out
Mine must be 15 years old
Still using the original motor

I had the same branded as nutool I think.it never had a hope of cutting right as the casting near the pivot mechanism was screwed.
sold it and replaced it with a 40 year old cold saw.pleasure to use.

Do you run coolant on your cold saw??
I would prefer a cold saw as they have a much smaller footprint than a bandsaw, trouble is finding one for a decent price

Old saws, be they cold, donkey or band, seem ten a penny in the uk compared to Ireland.
I've had one of these Clarke bandsaws for about twenty years, still going strong and it has done a lot of work. Just take care to set it up properly from new. You can make them significantly nicer to use, look here: http://www.homemetalshopclub.org/projects/sawstand/sawstand.html
