Wanted some one with a small milling machine to mill out some steel .

Can anyone help for a few beer tokens ?
I'm after getting this quality steel / cast iron ? mince size cutting plate off an old cast iron #20 mincer milled out at the gold painted bits so that there are two larger openings for 10 mm lumps of cured smoked fat to pass through when I'm filling home made salami sausages .

I've just purchased a set of three stainless steel plates with stainless steel cutter with either 4, 8 + 10 mm holes so am happy to try and get the old 80 mm diameter plate modified to work as a stuffer plate .

Easy enough job clamp down to a rotary table and clock up the centebore. Calculate the angle where 2 sides intersect the radius in relation to the centrepoint. Put up a suitable size cutter or a rippa if you're feeling fancy.

Does that mean your interested in doing it?
I don't have any machinery other than a well worn bent piece of string with two knots in it

Quite likely to be hardened steel in that application

So, if it is hardened steel a plasma or oxy-acetylene cutter would be the answer. ( will give it an angels kiss on the grind stone to find out ) .

Is there a Doctor on the house that owns such a cutter set & is happy to try to do the cutting ???

I'm not local, but could give it a go with my plasma cutter if you wanted? You could drop it into one of the branches the company I work for has in Swansea, and they can send it down to me, or you're welcome to pop over to my place in wotton-under-edge at some point and have a go yourself.
