WANTED 1/2 X 16 cap head allen bolts

As Langy says a rod through the whole lot was my first thought when I saw the photo, the cap heads in from each end looks neat and tidy though. Perhaps if you want to stick with cap heads make a new threaded spacer with UNF in both ends, that way you only need to buy two high tensile cap head bolts to replace the BSF. Another option would be to Helicoil or Timesert the BSF end to UNF.

The only reason I can think of for 3 different thread types is those length bolts were all that was available at the time to whoever made the parts. Did Wisbech Engineering make it that way or has someone modified their setup?

despite a few irons in the fire --No supplier has come up with anything, Information as far as we can tell off Wisbeech, this was a standard design and supply, however the cone setup is far from professional, so having looked again,--

new cones in stainless bored through for 1/2" to pass, length increased to do away with that horrible little spacer, new cover cups on the outside and maybe a push in cap to hide the nuts.

NOW nuts,???? should I use a Castellated nut and cotter pin or will Nyloc do???-one on each end of the new spindle.

Another thought was to make new cones and tap them UNF all the way through put a purpose made special short threaded bar connecting the two together with the coilover in between and letting it move a bit, then two UNF allen bolts through the wishbones using the head existing covers.

Nylok should be fine, didn't look much holding them in before.

that little spacer may have been a add on if it's had another set of coil overs
with a wider top mount that would make sense
