As Langy says a rod through the whole lot was my first thought when I saw the photo, the cap heads in from each end looks neat and tidy though. Perhaps if you want to stick with cap heads make a new threaded spacer with UNF in both ends, that way you only need to buy two high tensile cap head bolts to replace the BSF. Another option would be to Helicoil or Timesert the BSF end to UNF.
The only reason I can think of for 3 different thread types is those length bolts were all that was available at the time to whoever made the parts. Did Wisbech Engineering make it that way or has someone modified their setup?
