Waco connections and conduit questions.

Two things here..
Waco connections instead of Anderson connections… can you get them for 6mm squared cable??
And can you get cable conduit that isn’t ugly/plain nasty to look at?

Waco instead of Anderson connectors because I don’t have the tool to crimp the terminal ends.
Fancy conduit as I’m possibly going to be looking at it.

well you have the choice either plastic conduit white of black or stainless steel black or galve conduit and wago if u want

Perhaps a little more information about the application would help.

There are a whole host of different connection options out there, so there may be something far more suitable.

Wagos are available for 6mm, but they are a maintenance free connection - i.e. fit and forget.
Not really designed for connecting and disconnecting, like and anderson connection is.

I've seen "quick fix" field connectors, which is essentially and anderson plug with a wago on the back end so you can fit an anderson plug without crimping.
You would still need to find somebody to crimp the cables into the anderson terminals initially, but they can be carried as a quick field repair thing.
Hydraulic crimpers are not all that expensive from the likes of ali express/eBay etc.

Another option is to solder them on - can be done but you do need a serious iron, or a blow torch.
Obviously not ideal as it inhibits the flexibility of the cable, but if its fairly fixed in place it might not be a big deal.

For trunking, there are a million different solutions depending on what route you are running and the type of environment.

For example you can get trunking in profile that looks like skirting or coving to run it out of site. Different colours and styles are available.

If you have uneven walls/industrial type setting, I personally prefer exposed conduit as it looks fairly neat if done well, whereas mini trunking looks utter gash on anything that isn't perfectly flat.

I’ve a 12v fridge that is going to be moved from vehicle to vehicle it’s wired directly to the battery with a inline fuse, on one vehicle access to the battery is not the easiest so I want some sort of connection that I can disconnect easy and quickly..
The conduit, I’m going to have some 12v cables that I’m running on the surface and are going to be visible so after some sort of fancy type conduit.

they dont do 6.0mm solid fixed wiring has about 6 cores pretty stiff ,the flexible stuff has about 50 fine cores not that ive ever counted it mind

Very true. My mistake. My point was that I'm not sure how well Wagos hang onto the usual tiny strand cable that is usually in vehicles.

I've used wagos on the tractor in places. They do a fine job and are easier, quicker and more reliable than choc blocks.

For the fridge, are there no heavy duty Din or other 12v socket and plug options? Night be tidier and easier. What amps will it draw?

The smaller 175 amp Andersons are easy enough to crimp using a normal yellow crimping tool with a bit of fiddling about

I’ve Wagos throughout the lighting circuit in my workshop, went with the black conduit, all connections in small boxes connected to the conduit and not in the conduit, my 6mm singles through conduit are a run from the CU to the socket with no connections, 6mm was not easy to pull through corners, I got the corners with inspection holes as there were a few corners, that made I’d doable.
I think the (legal) max amps was reduced to 30 when the cables in conduit, my memory of the tables are a bit vague now though.

Or maybe that was for 4mm hence why I went for 6mm
