vw wood burner

This was made for a guy to take to vw rallies. It has a fold down handle to carry and folded to support on grass. The vw was made from a stainless steel hot plate cover, which then went over the stainless steel pan guard

The hot plate can be pulled out, so you can sit a pan deeper if wanted

Just dont look at the welding, need new helmet, works when it wants

I keep meaning to make one that looks like a diving helmet or a UXB, then I thought would it be poss to make one like a vw camper and have fire doors on the side and roof rack hot plate

Nice one, interested to see how you did the air inlet. I'm making one myself at the moment, still a bit undecided how the air is going to be controlled. Wish they wouldn't use galvanizing on those things it's horrible to weld isn't it?

Bottom door needs to slide left or right a touch. I used to put a grate in, but you dont need if you are burning wood. Just remember to check bottle is empty and double check, cause for some reason the tap I cut had a pin inside so only let gas out when connected
