VW Caravelle Inner wheel arch repair

Hi all,

I've been asked to repair the inner wheel arch on both sides which has rusted through.

I've wire brushed out the dirt and rust, the problem is that the rust on the inner wheel arch runs down behind the chassis rail and I'm unable to access it to cut it out. Has any one got any tips on the correct way to repair this or done this before?

Have a read on a VW forum, there are lots of welding articles on them. Here's one practically rebuilding a Caravelle.

Which caravelle is it? If it's a T4 derivitive go to vwt4forum and ask
if it's a T3 or T25 go to brickworks and ask. Good luck
