Looks like I’ve agreed to take on my Dads 1965 Volvo 1800S. It’s not the Jensen P1800 unfortunately. Like I haven’t got enough work on.
She’s REALLY bad. It got driven into the garage over 10 years back and all he managed to do was remove lots of rusty bits
It’s gonna need both wings, Inner nose cone repairs, floor pans, rear OS inner half arch, and more.
I’m happy to use salvageable panels that needs repairs from other people’s restorations, so if anyone knows for anything I’m happy to send beer tokens.
I don’t mind buying some new panels but things like new wings and nose one are prohibitively expensive. I don’t want to end up buying £10k with of panels if I can make do.
Brookhouse Volvo do lots of bits but apparently wings are no longer available.
Not in a rush, as I have to finish Alex’s VW T4, but hopefully that’ll be mot ready this time home. Still got lots of organising to do including getting my 73 bay back on its wheels so I can swap the Volvo to mine and stick the Bay down Mams.
