Currently sorting through my sheds while I actually have some spare time and come across this unusual one I was given years ago by a retired cabinet maker.

Double Blade Groove cutting plane.

I have 2.
They are a pain to use, pain to sharpen the 2 blades.

But a nice unusable tool.

I actually remember some of the articles on that page, the 'Tea Miser' for one, and I have a vague recollection of my Dad having fallen for the advertising blurb and owning a 'Telu Log' [made in padded PVC no less ]

I actually remember some of the articles on that page, the 'Tea Miser' for one, and I have a vague recollection of my Dad having fallen for the advertising blurb and owning a 'Telu Log' [made in padded PVC no less ]

I am going to try and flatten the leaflet out carefully and see if I can either scan it or take a better image of it. If you would like a better image let me no.

It would appear that we had a tea miser at home too, not that it was ever called that. Among the tat there is some good stuff there or am I been sucked in by the advertising?

Just looked on the web, I thought I recognised “Telu log” I had one of those back in the late 60’s to record fuel & work out consumption. No idea where I got it from, I wouldn’t have bought it.
