vintage fire pumps on trailers

I have been to a neighbours who has a big shed and in it are a few trailer mounted fire pumps with meadows engine in one all prob circa 1930's any one know if there is a forum or interest in these things.

Get him to get information and pictures and contact the two places above.
If any have a local connections, factory, town history to him or in the UK. Do a google search and see if they have a local museum.

If any have a company name, manufacture or a end user, they may be interested in them

That is a start.

Bare in mind there is a lot of that stuff hiding away and some is worth a lot of money. Some are worth the historic value.
Sad, but true some are worth nothing.

If they work, don't worry about failed hoses the value goes up.

What Meadows engine? i would expect 4 cylinder but they also did 6 cylinder engines.

Thanks for the reply's it is a 4cyl meadows engine i will go back up there tomorrow and take some pictures i am a bit out of my depth here hence the post he wants me to do some work on them which i am happy to do one is so old it has solid tyres there are two full fire engines in there also one 1960's and a green goddess never enough time. all the engines turn over which is a bonus andy

The 4 cylinder was also sold marinised as the meadows kittiwake. Anyone finds one of the 6 cylinder jobs bear in mind they were used in Frazer Nash & Lagonda cars & are in high demand for classic racing.
