Victorian fire place....what's missing

A Victorian fire place, the smaller type which were fitted in bedrooms upstairs. The idea being i think that you took a lump of the downstairs fire with you and stuck it in the upstairs fire when you went to bed.

It's clearly missing a bit at the bottom - does anyone know what it should look like? There's repro bits a plenty on line but i don't know what it should look like to start hunting.

It's only going to be decorative, although it will be fitted into a chimney.

I'd knock something up which looked aesthetically alright / age related, and paint it black.

Can you identify the model / producer of fire ?

Nice fireplace.

Curvedand rounded at the top with some kind of vent/ ash removal door across the bottom

I am not sure, but if you can wait until the weekend and remind me, i might have the ash pan section from a replica fireplace that looks like yours that i removed and stuck in the garage.

Some kind of arched guard and an ash tray underneath that pulls out is the norm I think

Tiles.
the house is 1930's the tiles have been covered since at least 1980's you can make out openings behind paper. both in bedrooms either side of dividing wall.

Just an ash cover and grate upstand missing by the looks of it...
Probably a fairly simple curved affair with a few vertical slots would do the job. Lots of them about.

there was also a bedroom type but that was much smaller

And a matching curved ash pan would do it. I must get the hammerite on the hearth.

the pic above is missing the cast iron fret (also known as the ashpan fret ) and also the ashpan

whilst pauls is missing the the cast iron front grill
the ash pan and also the front ash pan fret
pauls is the slot in type and must be used

a note can be said with the front as you can buy the whole front fret to go infront of the curved grill

if you do buy the fancy fret it will reduce the front heat slightly due to the grills but not by much
