Vfd required

I’m looking for a vfd to run this motor I have, plenty of options when buying a vfd though, my motor is 2.2kw so I was going to get a 3kw or 4kw vfd but when looking I see some that are 220v output and some are 380v
Which do I need for this motor on the lathe?

A 240 Volt output vfd will do that. If you get a proper make (Schneider, Siemens abb etc) then no need for more than 2.2 kW - if going down the generic route then it may pay to go a size up…

240v are a little less expensive, you'll need to set the links in the motor's junction box for delta (usually there are 6 terminals inside, two rows of three - star (400v) is all three on one side linked incoming power to the other three, delta (230v) links straight across like a = sign with three lines, power to the links).

Chinese kw seem to be a bit smaller, like their horses, so agreed, go up a size if buying their VFDs.
