Vertical alignment issue on new chop saw - is this normal?

I have just bought a new Makita 2414EN abrasive cut off saw and am disappointed to find that the saw blade is about 3 degrees off vertical (estimated not measured). There is no adjustment for this

I am talking to the suppliers (Alan Wadkins, who I have nothing but praise for) but I just wanted to find out if

Is this typical for Makita?
Is this typical for other chop saws?
Am I being picky?

Seems to be "par for the course" I have had to Shim/adjust a couple of chop saws to get them to cut accurately.
