vending trike

i was down on the river Trent embankment today and came across a homebuilt ice cream trike wich got me thinking has anyone made such a thing and at what price as all i can find new starts at 3k wich is a lot for what they are surely?
any links etc greatly appreciated or surrey bike?

I sold ice-cream from one of those around the streets of Long Eaton and Heanor during the summer of 1986. Flipping heavy to pedal.

I would imagine the most expensive part would be the insulated box thingy to keep the ices in. Have to agree that three large does sound a bit excessive.

Have a look on the Atomic Zombie website. there are plans for cargo trikes that could be easily adapted and links to lots of other sites for more inspiration. And above all, keep us all up to date with how you get on.
