VCI Bags

Does anyone know a supplier in the UK of these corrosion stopping bags, I only need a few to keep my mig wire rolls in to prevent them rusting?

I live in a converted water mill, say no more.....
in my MIG welder I fitted a bulb holder (Bulkhead fitting type) it runs 24x7 with an 11watt
curleywhirley bulb fitted just under the mig wire roll...........
never had a problem since......I use the big heavy reels and got sick of them rusting up....
all other wedding consumables on a shelf above the house boiler....perfek....

Heated cable as used in vivariums[a?] is another option. No overly expensive on the 'Bay of 'What No-one really needs'.

I was really thinking of the long term storage, the VCI type bags would also be ideal for storing some of my wood lathe chucks and tools to.

VCI are great, I have a bag over the roll on the welder as well as the spare rolls.

Need to replace this one now but as long as they are kept closed and stuff you put in is dry they will prevent corrosion for years.

I keep my spare/different size mig reels on a shelf by the boiler, rods are in the airing cupboard

mind you I haven't seen any rust on the reel fitted to the machine either and there isn't any heating in the garage

Edit: when you store your lathe chucks a light wipe over with some car oil seems to keep the rust at bay

I think my main cause of the light dusting of rust is that I am OCD about keeping my shop tidy and always finish with a swish round with the airgun. Methinks I am putting damp air across everything prior to finishing, so have added an oil cooler to the compressor as a precooler - looks cool with braided pipe and AN10 fittings... Pimp my compressor! I will get some pics when I finish work today.
Still like some bags though everywhere is either large quantities or out of stock

Never trust an air source without some sort of filtration, drying system in place, certainly never blow a a welder out with it.

Got filtration in place now down to 3 micron, huge difference than the standard fitted filters
